Heather Feikema, LICSW

Hey there! I’m Heather. I believe every person has inherent value, unique strengths, and the ability to grow, change, and create a life that feels more fulfilling—even when things feel messy, overwhelming, or a little stuck. Life has a way of throwing curveballs, and sometimes we all need a place to sort through the noise, gain perspective, and figure out what comes next.

I work with teens, adults, couples, and individuals navigating anxiety, ADHD, relationship challenges, stress, life transitions, and those seasons where you find yourself thinking, “How did I get here, and how do I move forward?” Many of the people I work with are caring, capable, and successful on the outside while quietly feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, or unsure of themselves. Together, we’ll identify what’s getting in the way, build on what’s already working, and create realistic steps toward feeling more confident, connected, and in control of your life.

I especially enjoy working with teens as they navigate the ups and downs of growing up—figuring out who they are, managing friendships, school pressures, emotions, family relationships, and the many expectations placed on them. I also love supporting women who are often the ones holding everything together but may feel exhausted, overwhelmed, or like they’ve lost touch with themselves along the way. For men, I provide a space to talk openly about stress, relationships, emotions, life changes, and the challenges of balancing responsibilities while finding healthier ways to cope and connect.

Relationships are one of the most meaningful parts of life, and they can also be complicated. I enjoy helping couples and individuals work through communication struggles, conflict, trust, emotional connection, and patterns that may be creating distance rather than closeness.

My approach is compassionate, genuine, and down-to-earth. I believe you are the expert on your own story, and my role is to help you better understand yourself, recognize your strengths, and develop tools that work for your life. I incorporate approaches such as CBT, EMDR, Solution-Focused Therapy, and other evidence-based practices based on your unique needs.

With more than 20 years of experience supporting teens, adults, and families, I have had the privilege of walking alongside people through some of life’s biggest challenges and transitions. I believe change is possible, and even when you feel stuck, there is always room for growth, new perspectives, and a fresh start.

Whether you’re reaching out for yourself, your teen, or your relationship, I would be honored to be part of your journey toward feeling more balanced, connected, and confident in who you are.”
