Christina Potter, LMFT

Christina is a systems-focused therapist who is passionate about meeting clients where they are in life with emphasis on being a guest in the client’s journey. Christina gravitates to a strengths based approach while focusing on the present and the possibilities for the future. She takes on the coaching role while working with clients finding their best way to cope with life has thrown their way.

Christina offers client-centered therapy for adults and particularly enjoys working with young adults. Her experience includes in-home therapy services with adolescents, adults and families, and working with homeless families and adults with serious-persistent mental illness. She has completed the Sexual Violence Center’s Sexual Assault Advocacy training to best support victims and survivors of sexual violence. Currently, Christina works with a variety of issues including anxiety, body image concerns, depression, life transitions, sexual violence, relational concerns and perinatal mood disorders. She has completed the Perinatal Mood Disorders educational course through Postpartum Support International to best support maternal mental health.

Christina earned her Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy from St. Mary’s University, Minnesota. While not at work, Christina enjoys spending time with her family and friends, exploring new restaurants or outside on a walk at any time of year.
